  • Secret School Fete Sale

    Pop down to Dalston to the Halley House school fete this weekend and pick up some end of line bargains and one-off samples.  

    We'll be selling socks, doorstops, slippers, lavender creature and a lucky dip bargain bin full of treats.

    Martha (our five-year-old) and all her school friends are raising money for some new playground equipment, there will be loads of fun stalls and activities, so it should be a good afternoon....bring lots of cash!

    Textile terminology is woven into our everyday language and sayings, I thought it was interesting how cotton and wool are used to represent 2nd and 7th wedding anniversaries.

    Cotton is made from many threads and symbolises the longer you are married the more your life is intertwined.  As a second-year anniversary gift you could go all matchy with his and hers Flamingo socks.
